Today we held the second annual Ben Reifel Thanksgiving meal. It was hosted by our students and staff from the RISE program. They prepared and served the meal to building staff and district leaders.
RISE stands for "Reaching Independence through Structured Education. We are so proud of the hard work everyone put into making it a success. We love this yearly event.
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated food and assisted our students throughout the day. ❤️

Band students were treated to some fantastic opportunities last week. On Wednesday, 6-8th grade band students had the opportunity to hear music from the South Dakota Symphonies Dakota Wind Quintet. Students learned about developing good practice habits and were able to hear music from all over the world. It spurred wonderful questions and conversation among the musicians and students!
On Thursday 7th and 8th grade band students were able to take a field trip to Washington High School to learn about and listen to the amazing WHS marching band!
We are thankful our students get to have these experiences.

8th grade volleyball had a costume contest this morning in practice. They finished with a special delivery of donuts from a parent. Thank you to all the players and staff for their hard work this season! GO BISON! ❤️

The Garden club also picked squash and other delicious vegetables today from our garden. We love being able to grow our own produce that we can share with our staff, students and community.

The Bison garden is full of beautiful flowers and delicious strawberries as summer comes to an end. The garden club is fundraising to build an outdoor classroom for members of the Bison community to use.
