Friday marked our very first day of Bison Brew! Through this exciting opportunity, students in the RISE program are building and practicing valuable functional life skills, including reading and following recipes, handling money, and communicating with others.

Teachers can order delicious drinks that are prepared and delivered by our amazing student team! We’re so excited to see our students grow their skills while bringing a little extra joy to our school community. 💛

On Wednesday, September 30th, the South Dakota Day of Remembrance for U.S. Indian Boarding Schools, our staff and students arrived in their orange shirts to show respect, support, and acknowledgement for the survivors, the ones who didn't make it home, and their families who were affected by Indian Boarding Schools. O.S.O. students have spent multiple days learning about the Orange Shirt movement and its founder, Phyllis Webstad. Students were asked to reflect on the healing and reconciliation of this era.

Staff enjoyed an end of the week visit from a food truck, Roscoe’s Kitchen—and it was a HUGE hit! 😋 Our Bison staff agreed that the food was absolutely delicious. Thanks for bringing the deliciousness to the Bison Herd! 🦬
