Parent Teacher Conferences are coming soon! They are scheduled for February 5th, 12 - 7 pm and February 8th, 3:30 - 7 pm. Conference preference sheets should have come home today with your student. Please fill those out and return to the school by this Friday, January 26th. We will schedule conference and send home another note with your student next week with your scheduled time.

Dangerous weather conditions mean all activities/events for SFSD students for the
evening of Fri., Jan 12 and all day Sat., Jan 13, 2024 are being postponed.
There is no school Friday, January 12th for a teacher work day and Monday, January 15th for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

The Delta Dental Mobile will be at LBA the week of January 16th thru 19th. Please contact the office if you are interested and we will get you the paperwork to get signed up - limited spots are available. Paperwork needs to be turned in by January 11th.
Classes resume tomorrow, January 3rd. We hope everyone had a great break and we are looking forward to seeing everyone!

The Great Plains Zoomobile visited our 4th grade and brought four animals to celebrate the end of our science unit.
One of our 2nd grade classes and one of our 5th grade classes got into building gingerbread houses as well. Sweet and sticky time!
Our early childhood has been reading, “Gingerbread Man Loose in the School.” We invited our families to help us make gingerbread houses for our gingerbread men.
Today is a beautiful December day, but we know it can't last forever in South Dakota! Make sure you and your student(s) know how to access Canvas for remote learning when weather that keeps kids home can be predicted in advance.
Thank you to our friends from Oak Hills! They arranged for baristas from Coffea to come and serve our staff some beverages and provided some yummy pastries. What a treat to start our day!
