Eighth graders recently visited South Technical College. They were able to engage in hands-on activities and learn about programs the school offers. Thanks to STC for hosting our students.

The Middle School Choral Festival is TONIGHT at the Washington Pavilion! The event combines choirs from Ben Reifel, George McGovern and Whittier middle schools with the Augustana Choir for an unforgettable experience. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and it is free and open to the public.

We can't wait to see everyone!

Ben Reifel staff surprised our amazing Bus Drivers and Aids with a coffee cart this morning. After students unloaded, they were treated to coffee, muffins and given a Bison shirt. We are so appreciative of everything they do to get our students to school safely. Thank you for all that you do! ❤️

Ben Reifel Families, we would love for you to join us for Family Book Club! Your student and one adult in your house will be given copies of the book. We will meet on November 20th at 6:30 in the BRMS Library for a discussion about the book lead by Mrs. Heinert. Last year, both students and parents enjoyed the book and it was fun to get to know other Ben Reifel families while discussing a great book.

Happy Boss's day to our very own - Mr.Hieronimus and Mrs.Vandrongelen. We appreciate all you do for the Ben Reifel family. ❤️💛

The BRMS Bison Marching Band had two great performance opportunities to wrap up their marching season.
The first was at SDSU where students had the opportunity to learn about everything college can offer and play along with the SDSU Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band during a football game. The second was at the Festival of Bands parade on October 7th.
We are so proud of all of their hard work! 🙂

The Ben Reifel family goes outside the building and includes our community. Robin is our postal worker and is an integral part of our family. She is pictured with our office staff (right center) in our Bison shirts. We are so appreciative of all of her hard work. ❤️

Students that attended conferences with their guardians received raffle tickets for a drawing for a $25 gift card. Congratulations to our fall conferences winners!

Ben Reifel turned pink yesterday, for Barbie day, to celebrate Homecoming Week. We loved seeing how creative students got while dressing up.

Congratulations to our Best in the Herd recipients. These students received a positive phone call home, bonus PBIS points and a bracelet. Thank you for representing Ben Reifel so well!! ❤️

The BRMS Bison Marching Band will perform this Saturday, October 7th at the Festival of Bands parade near Covell Lake & Terrace Park. We would love the support of our BRMS community when we step-off in the parade route at 9:40am! We can't wait to see everyone there.

Attention 8th graders!
Jefferson High School invites you to learn more about Project Based Learning (PBL) options at upcoming open houses on Monday, Oct. 30th & Wednesday, Nov. 8th. All students are welcome, regardless of current school of attendance.

Happy National Custodian Day to our amazing custodial staff for keeping our building clean and well-maintained. We appreciate how hard you work every day and we couldn't run Ben Reifel without them. Thank you so much. We appreciate you! ❤️

Washington Homecoming started off with Superhero Day! Staff and students dressed up and also spotted a masked vigilante on the roof. If anyone knows the identity, please contact Officer Larsen.

Congratulations! These students were selected Student of the Month for September ! Thank you for demonstrating the Bison Way! We are proud of you! ❤️💛

Congrats to Bryce and Sawyer Thompson. These BRMS students have been competing for the WHS Varsity Golf team this fall. They qualified for the state golf tournament which will take place Monday and Tuesday at the Brandon Golf Course. We are proud of you!

Thank you to Promising Futures for giving our 8th grade football team the opportunity to visit South Dakota State University this weekend. Players had a tour of the campus, lunch, and attended the game. We appreciate these continued opportunities given to our Bison students. ❤️

Proud of how hard our seventh grade boys have been working. We also love our cheer squad! Keep up the hard work Bison! ❤️
