Congratulations to the 14 students from BRMS who were accepted into the Sioux Falls Middle School All-City Band! This band is made up from 10 different middle schools across the city. The All-City Band will perform a concert at the Washington Pavilion in November with band ensembles from Augustana University!

Students on team 6-2 explored caves in social studies today. Mrs. Brackey dressed up to guide them on the adventure through her room.
Students have been enjoying a variety of Enrichment classes. Last week, students in Mrs.Krdzallic's class have been creating unique coasters using rhinestones. They've also been building social skills throughout their time. We love that our students are able to dedicate time to some of their passions and hobbies.
Students began enrichment during Bison Academy yesterday. Teachers have planned a variety of activities including sign language, business and marketing, and photography.
Eighth grade football boys are off to a scrimmage tonight. Best of luck! We will be cheering you on. GO BISON!
Ben's Garden is blossoming as summer comes to an end. We love that our students help care for this garden. 🌻

Every year, our staff receive a shirt from our wonderful administrators to promote building unity. This year, Michelle Lee, an Educational Assistant, put her creative talents to use to design the staff shirt. We are so incredibly lucky to have Michelle as part of our Bison family. She goes above and beyond every day, and promotes our core values in everything she does. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your art. ❤️

SFSD congratulates its valued partner Steve Hildebrand of Promising Futures! Steve recently received the Community Service Award from the Associated School Boards of SD for his work to remove economic barriers so all students can see their bright futures ahead. Thank you, Steve!
Students participated in Archery yesterday and today at Ben Reifel. They practiced proper safety, form and hitting targets. They even had a fun competition to end the two days.
