Today, the Ben Reifel staff and students participated in the second annual Bison Community Outreach Day so we could do exactly that. Throughout the day, students engaged in activities that focused on giving back to our Bison community and impacting others.
We want to thank all of the staff and students for displaying “The Bison Way” and engaging our community positively. We can’t wait to do it again!

Our speech and chorus students were recently treated to a musical at University of Sioux Falls and Dear Evan Hansen play. We want to thank Promising Futures for continuing to support our students with these amazing opportunities!
This morning all SFSD 8th graders got to spend the morning watching their peers deliver moving, original pieces of poetry at the 2023 SFSD 8th Grade Poetry Slam. 18 fearless students took to the stage to share their stories. Team 7-1 spent time this week at Good Earth State Park enjoying nature and learning about the history of the area. What a fun experience.
8th graders attended the Siouxland Heritage Museum Civil War camp this week. Three stations were visited where students learned about soldiers’ equipment, camp life, and how to march on the battlefield. It was a fabulous way to kick off the Civil War unit.

Ben Reifel hosted the spring band concert this week. Students performed beautifully for everyone. We are so proud of how hard each student worked on their skills this year. ❤️
8th grade Web leaders taught their last WEB activity yesterday. It was about connectedness within the building. Sixth graders enjoy having these building leaders come in and engage them throughout the year.
We have become aware of a scam circulating that appears as if SFSD Child Nutrition Coordinator Gay Anderson is asking people to go out and purchase large dollar amounts of gift cards. Gay has NOT sent out a text or an email. Her communication devices appear to have been hacked. Please delete any communication and do not follow through with the request. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Ben Reifel hosted the 5th grade Band Festival! We are so excited to have them be part of BRMS next year!!
We would love to officially invite you to the BRMS Spring Band Concert tomorrow Tuesday, May 2nd (6th - 6pm, 7th - 7pm, 8th - 8pm) featuring the 6th-8th grade band students! They have been working very hard on a variety of selections that we hope family, friends and staff may enjoy! We can't wait to see everyone!

Recently, local snow plow drivers stopped by Ben Reifel to share about their jobs. Students in Mrs. Brosz' class had the opportunity to speak with them and share homemade goodies to show appreciation for all of the hard work they have done this winter.
