Team 7-2 students spent the week making cards and decorating cookies for their friends at Stoney Brooke Assisted Living. They have developed a great partnership over the last year and we are proud of our students for giving back to the community. ❤️

Thursday was "twin" day at Ben Reifel. Staff and students had a blast matching each other.

The Sioux Falls School District’s partnership with the Siouxland Libraries, Everybody Reads, kicked off today! The theme this year is Reach for the Stars. When students complete a book, they fill out a star to add to our display. Staff painted a galaxy on the library windows where we can place our stars and show how many books we have read. We can't wait to see all the books our students read!

The Ben Reifel Percussion Ensemble made their performance debut at the MPA Brandon Valley Event. The students represented BRMS and the band program well in an exceptional first performance! You can still catch them for one more performance at our BRMS Fine Arts Night on Thursday, March. 30.

The Ben Reifel store is now open! Lots of new items are available. Store closes March 20th at midnight. Orders will be delivered April 11th. Please call the main office with questions.

We are so proud of the students who represented BRMS this past Friday and Saturday at Middle School All State Band in Huron, SD. These students had the opportunity to play among the best musicians in the state and we could not be more proud!

Bison Archery Club had a tournament in Tri Valley today. Great tournament!! Way to go Bison Archery!!

Today, 8th grade accelerated Social Studies students participated in the National History Day regionals at the Courthouse Museum. Ben Reifel was well represented, with 28 students presenting their projects. We had two students who qualified for the state level competition:
Jasmine Wyant - Catherine Parr A Protestant Queen
Sophie Elsen - The Radium Girls
We are so incredibly proud of ALL of our students who participated and are cheering on Jasmine and Sophie at the state level! Congrats!

Congratulations! These students were selected Student of the Month for February. Thank you for demonstrating the Bison Way! We are proud of you! ❤️💛

Team 6-2 social studies students are studying Ancient Chinese Inventions. Making paper from wood pulp was an important one. Students made their own with sawdust, an old blender and homemade 'screens'. After, they painted Chinese Calligraphy on them. What a fun activity!

Parents of teens and preteens won't want to miss this month's featured Family Forum topic. Vaping is on the rise among young people and carries some costly concerns. Join us Tuesday, Feb 21 at 6pm at sf.k12.sd.us, click Students & Families, then Counseling or watch for the link.

Mark your calendars! SFSD students will be on President's Break next week, so it's a great time to take in some fun at Air Madness to support Operation Hope and Caring! Levo and other community partners are "jumping in" to support schools without PTA/PTOs. Join us!

Students in the RISE program celebrated Valentine's Day by making and delivering 200 Rice Krispie bars for staff in the building. The Unified Club also placed a valentine on every student locker in the building. What a sweet treat for both staff and students.

Today, we are celebrating our very own Officer Larsen for National SRO Day. We are so thankful he is part of our BRMS Family! Thank you for all that you do.
